Not sure if you have to pay for parking during the weekend. This was the only location with water and restrooms on the trail so fill up. No cell service in parking lot.

Decided to take the clockwise route around to black point and I think it was a good idea. Follow the fire road to the 3ed junction for Black point trail. It is a small skinny trail that goes up a valley on a not very well upkept trail so i would advice long pants. the trail it self loops around but there is a trail that branches off the loop to take you to the actual peak. Awesome view, no shade.

6.12 miles (about .12 of going the wrong direction) took 3 1/2 hours that includes 30-45min of activating at the top. Good cell service (sprint) for spotting. Made 5 contacts on a tuesday.
