Last night I went to bed around 10 and woke up at 2:45am with my throat on fire. It was so insanely painful I took some Tylenol with Codeine that I had left over from a few months ago. I dont ever take these unless I absolutly have to. Usually Night time Theraflu knocks me out but the fact that I woke up from the pain means it must have been really bad. I slept for a little while but a combination between my nostrils being dried out and in pain as well as my throat hurting, I woke up every hour or so until I finally gave up and got out of bed around 6am.

The rest of the day was ok.  I got a text from the testing place in SF saying the results could take up to 6 days to process. Meanwhile work and I are emailing back and fourth becuase I have run out of sick time and im digging into whats left of my PTO. They said I should apply for disability. The union says I can apply for workers comp. But I cant do that unless I get a positive COVID test. I guess its shocking to Falck that their own employees would contract the virus they transport every single shift. See why its so shitty that Kaiser made me wait 4 days to get tested. It dosnt seem like a lot but it is when thats my income. When thats my rent and bills that are due. It makes me so frustrated.

My symptoms were ok. Other than my throat being on Fire. I took another Codeine with tylenol around 10 and it just made me feel dizzy and sick for the rest of the day. But at least I didn’t feel any pain unless I swallowed anything. I still feel like garbage. I really thought I would have more time to read all my Ham Radio magazines from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. But im struggling to finish my latest edition of CQ Amateur Radio. This morning I was really happy to work AA7OY on a summit in Arizona on 20 meters CW. I almost got WG0AT but couldnt quiet get my RST through. Thats ok. He is on the air often enough, I think I can get him next time.

I get tested at Kaiser tomorrow. Then I get my results back in 24 hours. I sometimes second guess myself if I even have COVID. I mean it could literally be anything. An ear infection, the real flu, something with my tonsils. Who knows. But today when I went to wash my hands with our extremely potent Warm Vanilla Sugar soap, I realized when I put it directly under my nose I could not smell it. I knew how strong it smelled before. That coupled with the fact that I cant taste anything like peanut butter or even the Salmon we got from Urban Plates makes me kinda sad. I have been craving sushi for awhile but whats the point. I cant taste anything anyway. I cant wait to get this COVID test out of the way. More than anything.. I need to know.
